KUKA provides challenge hardware in the EuRoC project.
Two mobile manipulation systems with omnidirectional platform and compliant light-weight robot arm will be physically available to the contestants of the EuRoC project.
The European manufacturing industry needs competitive solutions to keep global leadership in products and services. Exploiting synergies across application experts, technology suppliers, system integrators and service providers will speed up the process of bringing innovative technologies from research labs to industrial end-users. As an enabler in this context, the EuRoC initiative proposes to launch three industry-relevant challenges:
- Reconfigurable Interactive Manufacturing Cell (RIMC),
- Shop Floor Logistics and Manipulation (SFLM),
- Plant Servicing and Inspection (PSI).
The first stage as a challenge contestant is the successful participation in the simulation round, for which the calls are open now! The best 15 contestants in every challenge track will be selected for further advancing to the second stage, where the contestants will be enabled to work directly with leading robotic hardware in industry relevant settings – and receive financial support!
Take this unique opportunity and check today where your scientific and technical expertise fits best in the challenges. Information on the project and the calls are available at http://www.euroc-project.eu. For direct face-to-face information from the challenge hosts, hardware supporters and the project officials also sign up for the information day in Stuttgart on May, 5th (http://www.euroc-project.eu/index.php?id=342).
We are looking forward to your success in the European Robotics Challenges with next generation solutions in mobility and sensitive robotics from KUKA!
